About Electraworks bingo
As mentioned earlier, the Electraworks bingo software is the new trading name for what was previously known as Cozy Games.
Cozy was once the most prolific of white-label operators. With approx 200 sites at it's peak, it relied heavily on offering new players lots of no deposit bonuses. However, once the UK government started taxing free bonus money, this soon came to an end, and in 2017 the company was acquired by Entain (then called GVC Holdings) and renamed as Electraworks Ltd.
Entain / GVC soon abandoned the white-label model, focusing instead on developing the software for it's flagship brand, Foxy Bingo. Dozens of old Cozy sites began to close down as a result. The quality of the bingo product increased dramatically under Entain's stewardship, enough to justify moving some more of Entain's bigger brands over to the platform.
In 2020 Ladbrokes Bingo & Coral Bingo both made the switch to the Electraworks platform, but the company's last remaining mega-brand, Gala Bingo, has not. Gala is arguably the biggest of all Entain's bingo brands and to switch software is probably too big a risk for the company to take. This is why I can't see Gala moving to the Electraworks platform anytime soon.
In 2020 the company started investing more in developing unique bingo variants for the network, with new games cropping up such as Cash Out Bingo, Friends Bingo and Fluffy Favourites Bingo.
